Research
The ongoing energy demand of our modern life promotes the need to develop environmentally friendly and low-cost energy materials for a sustainable future world and economy. Designing efficient energy conversion materials requires exact understanding and correlation of the structure, optical and electronic properties to further advance this field of research.
My current research focuses on rational design of all-inorganic and hybrid organic-inorganic metal halides with primary focus on photoluminescence, electronic and semiconducting properties. This includes synthesis and characterizations of novel compounds with potential applications as energy materials including materials for light-emitting diodes (LEDs), scintillation and security-sector sensing.
